The surroundings of the Stolpjes

The spacious yard is located on the edge of the village of Tuitjenhorn. The Stolpjes offer a magnificent, unobstructed view of the age-old fruit trees. The orchard is located by the water with an adjacent park full of fruit trees and flowers on the other side. All the important facilities, such as a bakery and a butcher are located within walking- or cycling distance. Local entrepreneurs such as Bolle Hendrik offer culinary highlights. Of course, there is also a supermarket with daily fresh bread!

The Stolpjes are located in a varied landscape, from winding ring dikes to vast polders and forests. In spring  you can enjoy the beautiful tulip fields through which the ring canals meaner. The beach and the sea are located at only 7km . There are  many beautiful beach pavilions in for example Hargen aan Zee, Bergen aan Zee, Petten, Sint Maartenszee or Callantsoog.

Not afraid of climbing and descending? By bike, you can reach the beautiful Schoorlse Duinen in only 20 minutes. One century ago, it was one large sandbox. Now, it is a beautiful mix of beach, dunes and vast heaths.

Don’t be surprised if you sometimes hear the call of a wild gibbon. Tuitjenhorn even has its own zoo.

Do you want to enjoy a drink or go out for dinner? The village offers several good restaurants. The picturesque Schagen and the always cozy Alkmaar (15 minutes) are definitely worth a visit!
